Pourquoi, aujourd\u2019hui, les institutions mus\u00e9ales s\u2019orientent-elles vers <strong>plus d\u2019interactions avec les visiteurs ?<\/strong> Pourquoi cherchent-elles \u00e0 <strong>\u00ab\u00a0actoriser\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> et \u00e0 mettre au c\u0153ur de leur m\u00e9diation les visiteurs ?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Cultiver la science au mus\u00e9e hier<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ces r\u00e9flexions s\u2019appuient en grande partie sur <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">l\u2019article r\u00e9dig\u00e9 par <strong>Jean Davallon en 1994 :<\/strong><\/span> <em><strong>\u00ab\u00a0Cultiver la science au mus\u00e9e aujourd\u2019hui ?\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong><\/em> \u00e0 la suite du colloque <em>\u00ab\u00a0Quand la science se fait culture\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> qui a eu lieu \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e. Jean Davallon nous rappelle notamment que <strong>le d\u00e9veloppement, et l\u2019\u00e9volution, des mus\u00e9es<\/strong> s\u2019est fait \u00e0 travers <strong>trois g\u00e9n\u00e9rations<\/strong> (<em>r\u00e9flexions men\u00e9es avec Bernard Schiele<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Une culture des sciences qui varie selon les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de mus\u00e9e<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Une premi\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration :<\/strong><\/span> <strong>mise \u00e0 disposition des savoirs<\/strong> et mat\u00e9rialisation de ces savoirs <strong>\u00e0 travers des objets.<\/strong> C\u2019est ce qui pourrait correspondre, dans l\u2019inconscient collectif, aux <strong>\u00ab\u00a0mus\u00e9es classiques\u00a0\u00bb.<\/strong> Des mus\u00e9es o\u00f9 il n\u2019y a finalement <strong>peu, ou pas, de m\u00e9diation.<\/strong> Les \u0153uvres (<em>peintures, sculptures, maquettes\u2026<\/em>) et savoirs sont <strong>directement disponibles<\/strong> et le visiteur n\u2019a pas r\u00e9ellement besoin de rechercher les informations. Ce sont par exemple les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.louvre.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Mus\u00e9es du Louvres<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (<em>salle des peintures<\/em>), de <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"http:\/\/musee-toulouse-lautrec.com\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Toulouse-Lautrec<\/strong><\/a><\/span> \u00e0 Albi ou encore du <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metmuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">MET<\/span><\/a><\/strong> \u00e0 New-York, dans le cas o\u00f9 l\u2019on ne choisit <strong>ni visites guid\u00e9es, ni audioguides.<\/strong> Les objets sont expos\u00e9s au mur ou dans des vitrines (c<em>e qui peut ajouter une distance avec le visiteur<\/em>) avec seulement <strong>quelques informations \u00e9crites.<\/strong> Ceci n\u00e9cessite donc d\u2019avoir des <strong>connaissances bien vulgaris\u00e9es<\/strong> afin de pouvoir <strong>laisser le public en autonomie<\/strong> et <strong>d\u2019\u00e9viter qu\u2019il ne comprenne pas<\/strong> (<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ou pire :<\/span> qu\u2019il comprenne mal !<\/em>). Ces derniers deviennent en fait <strong>des acteurs de leur cr\u00e9ation.<\/strong> Cette cr\u00e9ation des savoirs peut se faire \u00e0 travers <strong>des exp\u00e9riences et des exp\u00e9rimentations r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par les visiteurs eux-m\u00eames.<\/strong> On peut citer en exemple <strong>la <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cite-sciences.fr\/fr\/au-programme\/expos-permanentes\/la-cite-des-enfants\/cite-des-enfants-2-7-ans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cit\u00e9 des Enfants<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (<em>\u00e0 la Cit\u00e9 des Sciences, \u00e0 la Villette<\/em>). Depuis 1992, cet espace se <strong>destine aux enfants de 2 \u00e0 7 ans.<\/strong> Les enfant ont plusieurs <strong>dispositifs et ateliers<\/strong> \u00e0 disposition afin de pouvoir manipuler des objets, des symboles ou des mots. Ils apprennent aussi \u00e0 se rep\u00e9rer et \u00e0 s\u2019approprier l\u2019espace ou encore \u00e0 travailler en \u00e9quipe et \u00e0 \u00e9changer avec d\u2019autres enfants. C\u2019est aussi le cas avec le <strong><em>CCSTI<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cap-sciences.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Cap Sciences<\/span><\/a><\/strong> \u00e0 Bordeaux o\u00f9, sur <strong>l\u2019exposition temporaire \u00ab\u00a0Cellules Souches\u00a0\u00bb,<\/strong> il est possible d\u2019apprendre \u00e0 <strong>manipuler un microscope<\/strong> et \u00e0 observer des cellules (<em>parfois une premi\u00e8re fois pour certains<\/em>). Le <strong>Quai des Savoirs,<\/strong> \u00e0 Toulouse, propose aussi des <strong>conf\u00e9rences-d\u00e9bats<\/strong> au Caf\u00e9 des Quais. Des <strong>\u00e9v\u00e8nements de m\u00e9diation scientifique,<\/strong> un peu <strong>d\u00e9cal\u00e9s,<\/strong> commencent \u00e0 essaimer, comme par exemple <strong>Pint Of Science,<\/strong> dont je vous ai parl\u00e9 dans <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"http:\/\/lascienceenpassant.com\/index.php\/2018\/08\/23\/pint-of-science-il-etait-une-fois-le-cerveau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cet article<\/a><\/span>.<\/strong> Ils ont souvent lieu dans des bars, des caf\u00e9s\u2026 une fa\u00e7on \u00ab\u00a0officieuse\u00a0\u00bb de <strong>partager les savoirs et de discuter avec les scientifiques.<\/strong> Il y a une <strong>abolition des barri\u00e8res<\/strong> entre les \u00ab\u00a0experts\u00a0\u00bb et le grand public. style=\"color: #800080;\">Cultiver la science au mus\u00e9e : une \u00e9volution des objectifs pour les institutions mus\u00e9ales<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jusque dans les ann\u00e9es 1970 \u00e0 1980, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">l\u2019accent \u00e9tait mis sur <strong>la connaissance des visiteurs :<\/strong><\/span> quel \u00e2ge ont-ils ? \u00c0 quelle cat\u00e9gorie socio-professionnelle appartiennent-ils ? Quels sont leurs centres d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat ? Viennent-ils seuls ou en groupes ? Ou encore, pourquoi ne viennent-ils pas ?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Puis, il y a eu <strong>une \u00e9volution des mus\u00e9es et un d\u00e9veloppement des centres de culture scientifique<\/strong> en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 un changement de contexte politique dans les ann\u00e9es 1980-1990. En effet, il y a eu une volont\u00e9 de <strong>\u00ab\u00a0mise en culture de la science et des techniques\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> sous Mitterrand afin de <strong>r\u00e9habiliter les sciences, de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 une m\u00e9fiance des citoyens et de d\u00e9mystifier<\/strong> <strong>les sciences. <\/strong>Il fallait faire sortir les scientifiques de leur \u00ab\u00a0tour d\u2019ivoire\u00a0\u00bb. Ceci a conduit, en <strong>1986,<\/strong> \u00e0 l\u2019ouverture de <strong>la Cit\u00e9 des Sciences,<\/strong> ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 la construction des <strong>premi\u00e8res <em>CCSTI<\/em><\/strong> (<em>la toute premi\u00e8re<\/em> <em>\u00e0 Grenoble, en 1979, avec La Casemate<\/em>). Il y a \u00e9galement eu <strong>une \u00e9volution sur la fa\u00e7on de pr\u00e9senter les sciences et les techniques<\/strong> et sur <strong>l\u2019adaptation des savoirs transmis<\/strong> en fonction des publics (<em>on utilise la somme des connaissances obtenues pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">La science est maintenant vue comme un <strong>\u00ab\u00a0fait soci\u00e9tal\u00a0\u00bb :<\/strong><\/span> une affaire de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et des citoyens qui ont <strong>leur mot \u00e0 dire et leurs opinions<\/strong> sur le sujet. Il est maintenant n\u00e9cessaire de <strong>prendre en compte les <em>a priori<\/em> et les repr\u00e9sentations<\/strong> que peuvent avoir les visiteurs avant de venir visiter une exposition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">De nouveaux objectifs pour cultiver la science au mus\u00e9e<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce nouveau contexte politique et social s\u2019accompagne donc <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">de <strong>nouveaux objectifs<\/strong> pour les institutions mus\u00e9ales :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mieux conna\u00eetre les institution mus\u00e9ales elles-m\u00eames :<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Leur organisation ;<\/li>\n<li>Leurs r\u00e9seaux ;<\/li>\n<li>Les professions mobilis\u00e9es ;<\/li>\n<li>Les dispositifs de m\u00e9diation mis en place\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">D\u00e9velopper une \u00ab\u00a0culture scientifique\u00a0\u00bb :<\/span> <\/strong>la science est cruellement <strong>d\u00e9pourvue de cet aspect \u00ab\u00a0culturel\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> (<em>par rapport \u00e0 la litt\u00e9rature ou la peinture<\/em>). Il n\u2019y a pas d\u2019\u00e9tude <strong>d\u2019histoire des sciences<\/strong> dans les cursus scientifiques. Il y a un vrai <strong>manque d\u2019une \u00ab\u00a0culture g\u00e9n\u00e9rale\u00a0\u00bb,<\/strong> d\u2019une culture de la discipline scientifique \u00e9tudi\u00e9e (<em>J.M. L\u00e9vy-Leblond, \u00ab\u00a0La culture scientifique, pourquoi faire ?\u00a0\u00bb, 2014<\/em>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Revoir les dimensions m\u00e9diatiques des expositions :<\/span><\/strong> (<em>\u00ab\u00a0m\u00e9diatiques\u00a0\u00bb au sens de communication, de mise \u00e0 disposition des savoirs<\/em>) : faut-il que les savoirs soient <strong>directement disponibles<\/strong> aux visiteurs (<em>Mus\u00e9e des Arts et M\u00e9tiers, Mus\u00e9e de Toulouse-Lautrec\u2026<\/em>) ? Faut-il que<strong> les visiteurs les cr\u00e9ent eux-m\u00eames ?<\/strong> Avec les exemples pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents, on a pu constater que les institutions ont largement pris en compte ces nouvelles dimensions m\u00e9diatiques. Je vous pr\u00e9senterai certains dispositifs plus en d\u00e9tails dans un prochain article\u2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Conclusion (<em>ce qu\u2019il faut retenir<\/em>)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, il y a eu une <strong>grande r\u00e9flexion sur les institutions mus\u00e9ales,<\/strong> sur leurs <strong>r\u00f4les<\/strong> et leurs <strong>interactions avec les visiteurs.<\/strong> Ceci a montr\u00e9 qu\u2019il \u00e9tait n\u00e9cessaire de <strong>faire \u00e9voluer les dispositifs de m\u00e9diation<\/strong> afin de r\u00e9pondre aux <strong>besoins des visiteurs. <\/strong>Il est n\u00e9cessaire <strong>d\u2019adapter les contenus<\/strong> des expositions \u00e0 leurs attentes et de conduire \u00e0 des <strong>\u00e9changes et des discussions, voire des d\u00e9bats.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Plusieurs institutions ont r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 ce changement de contexte.
